TCG STATS connects to eBay through eBay's own secure login. Your eBay password is never entered in TCG STATS.

## Before connecting

Your eBay account should:

- be allowed to sell;
- have a merchant location or item location;
- have payment, return and shipping policies;
- use the country and currency where you plan to list.

These are called **business policies** in eBay.

## Connect the account

1. Open **Settings → Connections** in TCG STATS.
2. Find eBay and select **Connect**.
3. Sign in on the eBay page.
4. Approve the requested access.
5. Return to TCG STATS.
6. Choose the eBay marketplace and language when asked.

## Select your policies

Choose the policies that apply to your card listings:

- payment policy;
- return policy;
- fulfillment or shipping policy;
- merchant location.

Save the selection before publishing a test listing.

## Publish a test card

Use a low-risk inventory item with a clear image. Confirm on eBay that:

- the title describes the correct card;
- the image is present;
- condition and language are correct;
- price and quantity match TCG STATS;
- shipping and returns use the expected policies.

## Common connection problems

### A policy is missing

Open eBay business policies, create the missing policy and then reload the connection in TCG STATS.

### The wrong country or currency appears

Check the selected eBay marketplace and merchant location. Policies from one eBay country may not be available in another.

### eBay rejects the listing

Open the listing in TCG STATS and read the eBay message. Missing images, a price below eBay's minimum or incomplete policies are common causes.

See [Listing sync troubleshooting](/docs/troubleshooting/listing-sync) for more checks.
