# Create a location

Tell TCG STATS where your cards are stored and which account owns the stock.

A location represents a physical shop, a warehouse, a home office or the room where you prepare orders.

## Create the location

1. Follow the location step during onboarding.
2. Enter a clear name, such as `Main shop` or `Home stock`.
3. Add the address and business details requested on screen.
4. Save the location.

You can review these details later under **Settings → General**.

## Choose a useful name

Use a name your team will recognize. Avoid names such as `Location 1` when you have more than one stock.

Examples:

- Amsterdam shop
- Online warehouse
- Event stock
- Home office

## When to use more than one location

Create separate locations when stock is managed independently. Each location can have its own marketplace connections, settings and subscription.

> Multiple locations require their own subscriptions and can be scaled independently from each location. They don't share their inventory, listings, orders and integrations.

Do not create a new location only for a shelf or box. Use inventory storage labels or [Chaos sorting](/docs/inventory/chaos-sorting) for that.
